Vestry
The Vestry, in addition to cooperating with the Rector on spiritual matters, is the Church's management committee, responsible for the Church's finance, property and administration. The Scottish Episcopal Church's website Vestry Resources provides extensive information and advice on how vestries should operate.
At St Mary Magdalene's, the Vestry comprises the Rector, six ex officio members and eight elected members. It normally meets ten times in the course of the year, between January and November. The Annual General Meeting of the Church, at which members of the Vestry are elected, is usually held in the last Sunday of November.
